KAZSERVICE

The Association of oil service companies of Kazakhstan was established in 2011 with the aim to unite and consolidate the efforts of all service companies working in the oil and gas and mining fields.

The other aims of Association include:

• The involvement of local companies in large oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan;

• The promotion of the interests of the members of the Association;

• The establishment of the informational-dialogue platform on the basis of the Association;

• The consolidation of proposals and problems of the members of the Association.

The Association suggests jointly representing the interests of its participants in the regions of the country where the service business is run. Also the Association suggests co-operating with the state bodies to increase the efficiency of the work in the service industry in general and the concrete service companies in particular.

The Association is under the discussion of the following issues related to the:

• Aspects of the local companies’ access to the long-term procurement plans of subsoil users;

• Interrelation of the oilfield contractors with the customers;

• Selection criteria of the oilfield contractors;

• Issues of state regulation of the oil field services business;

• Participation of the local companies in the subsoil user’s major expansion projects;

• Legislative initiatives.

The Association believes that the discussion of the above mentioned issues and the joint search of opportunities will allow study the possibility of the scope of services, taking into consideration its huge and untapped potential.Also it allows attracting the foreign investments to this industry. The joint list of the decisions will lead to the further promotion of the potential of the service industry and to the establishment of the market where the local companies could compete with the foreign peers.

The Association cooperates with the state bodies, represented by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, "Samruk-Kazyna Contract" LLP, the National Agency for the development of local content «NADLoC» and the “Contract Agency”.

The Association established the partnership and signed the MoU with foreign associations such as the Association of Norwegian Oil and Gas Partners (INTSOK), French Association of Engineers and Technicians in the oil and gas industry (GEP AFTP) and Tyumen Association of service companies that are interested in establishing partnerships with Kazakh companies.

The Association organizes and holds round tables and an annual conference "Kazneftegazservis" devoted to the problems of oilfield service industry, as well as taking an active part in all workshops of the state bodies, the Association «KAZENERGY» and of "NC KazMunayGas" JSC.
